Why only 18 months? What Nawaz Sharif has to do in these months is an interesting question? Imran Riaz He was picked up by Punjab Police from Sialkot Airport on 11th May 2023, later a video revealed that masked men had taken his custody from Police; it was commonly understood that he was in the detention of Pakistani state institutions. His family and lawyers kept pleading Lahore High Court and Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Ameer Bhatti, also kept pressuring police and state institutions for his production. Now while its a moment of happiness and relief, this question becomes of supreme importance that who were these men who had abducted him and how can you have characters like these in any state who are beyond law? Imran Riaz a Free Man! Imran Khan told to leave Pakistan or Accept Nawaz Sharif as PM for 18 Months?
After Jake Sullivan, US NSA, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken took a strong position supporting Canada and demanded India to investigate murder of the Sikh activist on Canadian soil. But Blinken moved one step forward and asserted that United States is monitoring all instances of transnational repression. This is a new concept of international law that was already developing for the past several years. Senator Jeff Merkley has already introduced a bipartisan bill in Senate that is waiting approval. Blunder apparently by Indian Intelligence Agency, RAW, is producing a series of unintended consequences. While Pakistan’s interim Prime Minister and Foreign Office were quick to condemn India for state terrorism on foreign soil, Indian publications have started reminding Canadian authorities that Karima Baluch, a prominent young Baluch activist died mysteriously in Canada in December 2020 and Canadian police couldn’t find anything criminal. Indians had always accused Pakistani intelligence for murders of Karima Baluch and Sajid Hussain. Sajid was an Editor of Baluchistan Times, and an academic who mysteriously disappeared in Sweden in February 2020 and his dead body was found floating in a river. Given new circumstances and US Secretary of State stressing on the need to stop “Transnational Repression” it’s only logical that cases of Karima Baluch in Canada and Sajid Hussain in Sweden should be opened up for review and investigation. And extending the logic the mysterious death of Shaheed Arshad Sharif, in Kenya (Oct 2023) needs an international investigation. Dye has been cast. New Delhi will have to investigate and find some rogue elements who conspired and authorised this murder of the Sikh activist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar - clearly an act of state terrorism on Canadian soil. Why many Indian comments, on these YouTube Channels, look fake and manufactured to create disharmony between citizens of India and Pakistan. Just like the often repeated Indian accusations against Pakistani Establishment, its time to analyze the irrational and often hate filled comments produced by Indian commentators on Pakistan related platforms. Most comments have no current context or relevance; their purpose appears to create bad blood and disharmony between normal Indian and Pakistani citizens! Could it be possible that - just like powerful vested interests in Pakistan - there are equally strong entrenched interests in Indian Intelligence & BJP/RSS Establishment that don't want to develop any good feelings between Indians and Pakistanis? Why all Indian commentators on these YouTube videos appear votaries and disciples of Narendra Modi; NDA Alliance of which BJP was a part in 2019 Elections won only 37-38% of the popular vote vs almost 20%. vote for UPA/Congress Alliance; why we don't see any comments from the 63% of the Indian majority on these pages? India's Diplomatic Muscle at Full Display at G-20: Balancing Act between US/West & China/Russia
Philosophers & thinkers of a nation shape its ideas, its thought, its sense of identity and set its direction towards future! Iqbal's ideas have shaped minds of four generations of Indian and Pakistani Muslims and have influenced Muslim thought across Middle East and Turkey too. But what if there were gaps in Iqbal's thought? What if ideas of a younger Iqbal represented his reactions to the West without much deeper thought? His predictions, in early 20th century, of the imminent demise of Western civilization have been widely believed by his followers. His verses, تمہاری تہزیب آپنے خمنجر سے آپ خودکشی کرے گی! شاخ نازک پہ جو آشیانہ بنے گا، ناپائدار ہو گا! were taken seriously by generations of Pakistanis and repeated ad-nauseum in schools, colleges, universities and media. But quite contrary to the belief system created by Iqbal's predictions, West has moved from strength to strength. Even after 115 years of Iqbal's pronouncements, West controls global resources, creates new ideas and directs rest of the world through its financial and trade structures - including emerging power centers like China & India. Perhaps the division between East and the West is more appropriately a division between "modern & Knowledgable" vs "backward & ignorant" Western philosopher and academics have been mercilessly criticizing west's moral breakdown, its societal failures and under the critical lens of dissenting voices and minds democratic societies governed by rule of law have been consistently improving themselves - reenacting themselves in the process. Humanist movements like the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, Anti-Vietnam movement of 1960's across the world and feminist movement have all helped create a better, more equal and just society across both sides of the Atlantic. In the same time period, Muslim societies have failed to modernize in terms of ideas. Induction of modern industry and technology have further empowered the ruling elites and increased societal inequalities.Most, if not all Muslim World, is being run by brutal and tyrannical regimes that are totally insensitive to the needs of Muslim masses. Why this matters? Because the political problems countries like Pakistan face today are not merely a function of power hungry generals, greedy businessmen and irresponsible wicked politicians but represent a failure of thought in the middle classes. Its important to visit these issues and understand the modern post-industrial world in a realistic way. What Is the world about? Why Muslims have been left behind? Islamabad High Court is expected to announce its "Reserved Verdict" today in two hours. Most lawyers expect High Court to suspend the verdict on Sessions Court and release Imran Khan on bail; but will High Court do this kind of English Justice or will live to the reputation of Muslim history's Qazi who was always subordinate to the Sultan? We will find out soon! Attock Jail Authorities submit details of facilities provided to Imran Khan in prison to Supreme Court. Pakistan Garrison State: Implications for Human Mind - Speech Dr Moeed Pirzada, Univ of Alabama
In my previous vlog, from DCA, Ronald Regan Airport Washington, for Birmigham, Alabama, I had analysed that the unusual, delay tactics being employed at Islamabad High Court are not just random moves but appear to be directed towards a definite goal. Connecting dots with Shah Mehmood Qureshi's renewed and extended physical remand till Monday, I had analyzed that this appears to be robust effort to finalize a Cipher File/Charge against Imran Khan, I had assumed that Govt has not been able to obtain the kind of statement they want from Shah Mehmood Qureshi (Pakistan's Ex-Foreign Minister) and are hopeful of extracting something more useful from him during the weekend (Fri- Sunday). Now on Saturday, a six member team of FIA headed by a Dy. Director went to Attock Jail interrogating Imran Khan further on Cipher; I suspect these are mere optics because Imran Khan sitting inside Attock Jail has nothing more to add to this story. Also on Saturday a combined effort was launched through News paper stories (Dawn) Ministry of Law & Justice statement and statements from Islamabad Bar Association to support Chief Justice Islamabad High Court against whom Imran Khan has filed a petition in Supreme Court. In his petition Khan has requested to change his cases from Islamabad High Court to Peshawar or Lahore for he does not trust the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court.
